Director Leigh Armstrong brings 20 years of experience administering and interpreting visual materials collections to her work with clients. She believes in the power of pictures to tell stories about the past. She is an advocate for both photographers and artists, and the institutions that provide care in perpetuity for their collections. Armstrong is a seasoned educator who has taught on topics related to the history of photography and collection care, an experienced collection manager, curator, and researcher skilled in navigating copyrights and negotiating permissions. She brings a holistic perspective to all projects, whether related to the discovery of historical images for exhibition or the arrangement of photography collections for museum acquisition.

Archival Image, LLC works collaboratively with clients to determine prudent approaches to each unique project, drawing together professionals in the interrelated fields of conservation, information science, appraisal, and the arts as needed to fulfill goals.
